Valentines Day Outfit Inspo
With Valentines Day fast approaching, I know a lot of you will be wondering what to wear for the big day. Got a hot date? Or a romantic day planned with your other half? Or maybe you're single and just want to look drop dead gorgeous all day! Whatever your V-Day plans, I got you. I've been experimenting with the app Polyvore - now an actual addict! I've made a few vegan outfit collages for some romantic inspiration...
Blushing Valentine
Completely vegan outfit idea for a Valentines Day stroll through the park. Cute and casual with a bit of flirt...
The details: Stripy top by People Tree, red wide leg pants by Stella McCartney, pink Nike Tanjun trainers (no leather!), mini cream backpack by Matt & Nat, gold earrings with peach threaded tassels by Popmap and Peach Blur Finishing Powder by Too Faced.
Too Faced are a vegan company but not all of their products are completely vegan so remember to check the ingredients list, look out for commonly used animal-based ingredients such as: Limonene (from sheep skin), Carmine (from crushed beetles) and Glycerin. For more information on non-vegan make up ingredients, check out this post by The Tasty Vegan.
Romantic Edge
For all those of us who's wardrobe is 99.9% black... Try something a little different for Valentines day and add a pop of red for a twist on the classic all-black outfit!
The details: Bloom print red dress by The Kooples, vegan leather studded boots by Nasty Gal, all black watch by Votch Watch, sunglasses by Rosegal, vegan leather jacket by Lulus, gold hoop earrings by Guess and red lip paint by Fenty Beauty.
In 2016 The Kooples agreed to stop using fur and angora wool in their collections, and have just released a vegan faux-foal skin and vegan leather leopard-print clutch in the brand's signature chic, rock 'n' roll style. All proceeds go to PETA France and the brand hopes this will promote more ethical and animal-friendly practices.
Wild Child
Use Valentines Day to release your inner wild child! Zebra prints and exotic textures will add to the allure of this glamorous evening outfit...
The details: trench coat by Unreal Fur, bra by La Perla, fold over tote by Stella McCartney, lace up heeled sandals by Stella McCartney, earrings by Romwe, fragrance mist by Body Shop, bronzer powder by Kiko Cosmetics, nude lipstick by Limecrime (just discovered this beauty brand - check them out seriously!) and last, but certainly not least, the fabulous zebra print dress by ASOS Made In Kenya.
The ASOS collaboration with African clothing workshop SOKO Kenya uses inspiration from the local African landscape and wildlife. The Made In Kenya range is designed by ASOS’s in-house team, it is then cut and manufactured by SOKO Kenya, who provide fair and safe employment and training for some of Kenya’s poorest communities.
