Chunky knit outfit
As it seems like this Winter will never end, I thought I'd share some cold weather outfit inspo with you! These images are from a photoshoot I did with Megan Bilcock a while ago and this was one of the looks I styled for it. (Damn, I need a haircut!)
The chunky knit is from Free People and it's called the 'Downtown Jumper'. When I saw it on their website I loved how relaxed yet sophisticated it looked, which really speaks to my personal style. I love clothes that are easy to wear but look well put together!
I really love the sleeves on this jumper, they have a dropped armhole which adds to the oversized effect and they're long so you can ruche up the material. The whole garment is ribbed and made from 100% cotton so it's super soft and has so much stretch to it, it really moves well with the body. The crew neckline adds to the informal look and I added the shirt collar as an element of class.
Free People received recognition from PETA for its 'Go Vegan' campaign and even have a vegan section on their website! I would love to see more retailers go this way and hopefully lead to more 100% vegan brands.
I'm a die hard fan of all black, but I lightened this look up a little bit by going for grey-washed panelled jeans, and of course the shirt collar. I added some rose gold hoops (what else?) and threw on my new baby a.k.a my Matt & Nat bag. I'll get some better photos of the bag soon as I know a lot of people are fans of M&N and I really want to promote them as much as possible for all the amazing work they do!
PS: really loved the green vibes of this last photo - shout out to Megan for finding such great locations for our shoot!
